Senior Systems Analyst
Oversees planning and implementation of custom Web application development at IIMS. Ensures that architectures and applications can be efficiently upgraded and expanded to meet both current and future client needs with minimal re-engineering. Maintains and oversees implementation of IIMS's packaged Web applications. Strong communications skills are essential in this position.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of relational database design and SQL (Structured Query Language)
- Knowledge of SQL Server 7.0 Administration
- Knowledge VB Script, JavaScript, DHTML, Perl
- Knowledge of MS Access, databases, forms, and programming environment
- Knowledge of Active Server Pages Platform, COM, MTS, ADO, OLEDB Database Connectivity
- Knowledge NT Platform and Internet Information Server 4.0
- Knowledge of Internet Architecture and Protocols
- Knowledge of Programming methodologies
- Knowledge of browser technologies and standards
- Ability to lead, organize and execute with very little or no direction, deliver commitments on time and within budget, and to work in a team within a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Keeps up to date with industry trends in applications development.
- Coordinates and oversees applications development related research and development at IIMS
- Develops and coordinates implementation of IIMS's program for Quality Assurance.
- Oversees development and implementation of IIMS's packaged Web applications.
- Evaluates and coordinates integration and maintenance 3rd party products for custom Web applications
- Facilitates the education of IIMS personnel by supporting in-house training programs.
- Develops and oversees maintenance of applications development related SOP's and coding standards
- Identifies areas of weakness and suggests ideas to improve efficiency within the Applications Development Group
- Attempts to resolve issues as they arise in the Applications Development group by working closely with Senior Management.
- Works with Production Manager to allocate department resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Works with Account Managers and department heads to design and implement front and back-end solutions based on defined requirements for client Web sites and internal projects.
- Oversees implementation of IIMS's packaged Web applications.
- Works with Director of Applications Development to support non-technical departments
- Works with Director of Applications Development to support research and development initiatives
- Coordinates integration and maintenance 3rd party products for custom Web applications
- Works with Network Group to proactively monitor and maintain custom web applications.
- Works with Director of Applications Development to develop and maintain IIMS's coding standards and related SOP's
- Trains and mentors junior and senior programmers.
- Works directly with the CTO on various projects as necessary
Senior Programmer
The Senior Programmer is responsible for all stages of IIMS custom Web applications development including requirements analysis, planning, coding and testing. Works with Senior Systems Analyst and Director of Applications development to interpret requirements and define technical specifications for both client and internal projects. Strong communications skills are essential in this position.

- Implements Quality Assurance protocols for each custom Web application development project.
- Adheres to IIMS coding standards and conventions.
- Facilitates the education of IIMS personnel by supporting in-house training programs.
- Works with managers to document IIMS applications developed for resale.
- Works with managers to evaluate 3rd party products for internal use or integration into client Web sites.
- Trains and mentors junior programmers.
- Learn all aspects of up to three particular IIMS products and take primary responsibility for maintaining, documenting and implementing those products.
