MIDDLETOWN - Innovative Internet Marketing Solutions has been selected to design and host a site on the World Wide Web for the Middlesex County Chamber of commerce. It is expected to be on-line by mid-November.
The chamber's board of directors recently voted unanimously to endorse IIMS' bid. "This was a very difficult process," said Gary Gomola, Chairman of the tech panel, noting 13 proposals were received. "The chamber has many good members who are very strong in the area."
"IIMS impressed with their grasp of the marketing and support involved with this project, as well as the role the chamber plays for our members and in the state," he added. "They have a great team, and are ready to start this project. They also have experience working with chambers."
"We understand the leadership role that the Middlesex chamber plays and know that its web site will convey that role," said Eric Mudry of IIMS. "We have experience dealing with chambers and know that we can design a site that will make the Middlesex chamber and their members proud."
The web site has potential to benefit chamber members, municipalities and individuals in the country, Gomola said.
It will allow people to connect to county manufacturers and search the region without visiting here for business relocations and vacations, he said, as well as find out chamber information on breakfast speakers and other programs and register for them directly.
The site will include a directory of chamber members searchable by company, town or classification as well as provide e-mail capability and references to web sites for members who have them, Gomola said.
The contract with IIMS also will provide a comprehensive package for presence on the Internet to all chamber members, he added.
